BASIC / FOUNDATION MALAY
This course is designed to introduce individuals who cannot speak Malay or have no knowledge whatsoever.
ELEMENTARY MALAY

This course is designed for individuals with a basic vocabulary in everyday conversation. Each new word selected can be used in daily needs and daily conversations with the local people. Students will be guided to have a deeper understanding and knowledge of Malay grammar, its special use of prefixes and suffixes, synonyms, antonyms, classifiers, growth etc. Students also will be exposed to the techniques to construct short sentence structure.

INTERMEDIATE MALAY
This course is designed for individuals with a basic vocabulary in everyday conversation. Each new word selected can be used in daily needs and daily conversations with the local people. Students will be guided to have a deeper understanding and knowledge of Malay grammar, its special use of prefixes and suffixes, synonyms, antonyms, classifiers, growth etc. Students also will be exposed to the techniques to construct short sentence structure.
ADVANCED MALAY
This course is designed and introduced to individuals who can competently speak Malay with a limited vocabulary range in everyday conversation. Each word that is selected can be used appropriately and meets the current needs of students in formal affairs such as laws, trade, dealing with government, etc. Students will be exposed to the understanding of the sentence structure in Malay to further develop knowledge and skills through written or fine Malay language. The addition of new vocabulary can be used in the Malay language. The addition of new vocabulary can be used in essay writing. The topics selected in this syllabus are based on student language proficiency. Techniques on how to build sentences and short essays will be exposed to the student to ensure that they will understand and be able to teach the proper Malay sentence.
